Gifts For Hanukkah Kosher All The Way

An Aromatic Autumn Is it just me, or are Americans preoccupied with holiday flavors? Consider pumpkin spice for example. Towards the end of summer coffee shops add to the menu their pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cheesecake can be found on the dessert menus at restaurants, and pumpkin beers are offered on tap and in liquor stores. I suppose there's something about these flavors that moves us into the holiday spirit. Other flavors that become more fashionable are apple, caramel, cinnamon, peppermint, and gingerbread, to name a few. I guess there's something unique about keeping these rich, warm tastes for this time of year. It brings us something to look forward to as the weather gets colder and we begin to spend more time in the house. Have you ever considered where these flavors came from? Take cinnamon for instance... Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka, previously called Ceylon and can be linked back to 2800 B.C. Throughout history, this spice was so strongly desirable that wars have been fought over it! Used as a type of money, medicine, for embalming (bizarre, huh?), hanukkah gift basketr250and an aphrodisiac, cinnamon has been considered valuable all over the globe throughout the course of human history. There's something for you to ponder the next time you enjoy a cinnamon roll! At the beginning of every holiday season I cannot wait to dig into some holiday specialties such as a peppermint mocha (though I prefer mine with white chocolate) or a scoop of pumpkin ice cream. Another one of my favorites is gingerbread cookies with candy buttons. YUM! I'm getting hungry just thinking about this! What if this year you could bring someone the perfect gift of these flavors? If you have in mind someone who is in need of a bit of holiday cheer, give them a Hanukkah Gift Basket from Baskets By Rita. This Hanukka gift basket is a great choice for the Chanukah Hanukkah Holiday. Our Kosher gift basket contains smoked salmon, all natural pretzel dipper chips, chocolate dipped fruit, pistachios, crackers, Chocolate chip cookies, candles, raspberry honey mustard, fruit and nut bar, Jelly Belly candies, and Ghirardelli chocolates. We finish white washed basket with a beautiful blue and white bow. Send Hanukkah gifts to celebrate this special Jewish holiday. Make it easy on yourself this year with your holiday shopping and leave the work up to us. While you're at it, why not order a little something for yourself? Ultimately, the holidays are meant to be enjoyable! If you found this blog interesting, why not share it with your friends on Facebook or Twitter? Birth Truly Is The Gift Of Life

A few days ago I received great news... I am going to be an auntie (again)! One of my lifelong friends just learned that she's expecting a baby and in about six months we will all be welcoming a little baby into this world. The minute she broke the news to me I started thinking about a baby shower, welcome gift ideas, and all the gadgets, diapers and outfits that this Child is going to have to have. I started looking on the internet for presents to welcome a new babe and I discovered the Bearington Baby collection from Bearington Bear. Bearington Bear has been around for 14 years and in that brief time they have won more design awards and nominations than any other teddy bear manufacturer. Not only are their products classy and cuddly, but they are made to last. This caught my interest immediately. I don't think there's anything more important to a baby than their favorite teddy bear or security blanket. Often, by the time the child turns six, the teddy or blankie which they've hung on to since birth is so used that it becomes an eyesore that mom would rather not keep around. This is a shame when you consider all the wonderful memories these cuddly items bring to mind. Not to mention the security they give to the little child. I believe that spending a little more on a stuffed animal that will last much longer is worth every dollar. welcome wagon baby giftI truly cannot think of a nicer keepsake for my friend than to give her first son or daughter a cuddly keepsake that will still be around long after the child has outgrown it. Baskets By Rita recently began carrying products by Bearington Baby and they have fashioned several adorable baby baskets which include Bearington products. Baskets By Rita carries filled with a blanket, a bib, a onesie, and a teddy bear for under $100. In addition you can select Baby Girl Welcome Wagon Gift We provide a nice selection of "starter" items for the new baby and parents in our Baby Girl Welcome Wagon gift. Our little red Radio Flyer wagon is 14" by 7" and will be a great toy when the baby becomes a toddler. A unique baby gift they will love to receive. By ordering one of these gifts I will not only be the best auntie, but I will be giving this child a quality gift which will last them a lifetime. Saying Thanks Is A Gift In It

As the leaves start to transform and fall from the trees and the air cools warning of the coming of winter, we put away our bathing suits and tank tops and get out our hats and boots. While the chilly drop in temperature may be a welcome change from the heat of summer, it also reminds us that the days are getting shorter and we will be spending much more time inside hibernating. Some folks consider autumn their favorite season and it does create many opportunities for festivity and a chance for us to spend time with friends and family as we find shelter inside your home and seek out ways to occupy ourselves and keep our spirits high. When we think of autumn we think of pumpkins, turkeys, red, orange, and yellow leaves, and harvest festivals. As the outside world wilts for the days of cold ahead, we celebrate life in hopes that we may continue to be blessed in the days ahead. We celebrate the gifts of the harvest and give thanks for our many blessings. Putting aside the vacations and weekend excursions of summer, we prepare ourselves for a gloomier onset of winter by crafting joy in a time when it is tougher to find in our surroundings. The winter months are known as the 'holidays,' but the holidays really begin with Halloween and Thanksgiving, traditions which have been around for hundreds of years which allow us to assemble with friends and find satisfaction in life. This fall, show appreciation for those you are thankful for by delivering them a autumn themed gift basket such as Colorado Wine Gift Basket. Say Congratulations Graduates!

Graduation is a significant life event for anyone. Whether graduating from associate's program or earning a major certificate, graduation is an accomplishment worth commemorating. In the United States, about 57% of the population between the ages of 3 and 34 are enrolled in some form of instruction. Whether attending nursing school, medical school, or middle school, these individuals are taking action toward a brighter future. Of this 57%, only some will actually complete high school and then of course postsecondary institutions as well. In 2009, 8.1% of High School Students dropped out of class before graduating. Of those who had started out as Freshman in the class of 2006, around 75% graduated. When observing Postsecondary Schools, the percentage of pupils who graduate are even smaller. In 2001, 38% of eligible students of 2 year institutions graduated together with 65% from 4 year establishments. This shows that it takes hard work and determination to achieve an education and this is why we should commend those who see it through. A friend of mine recently tranferred from Rhode Island to Colorado to complete his education in a very different part of the country. He is lucky enough to attend a university with a few campuses across the county which allows him to transfer his credits freely from one state to the next. He did not move because he was unhappy with the campus in Rhode Island or in order to find a new social scene. His only reason for moving to Colorado was so that his family in California could go to his graduation ceremony. My friend is from a large Mexican family and he is the first among them to graduate from university. For his family this is a huge accomplishment. He will not only be surrounded by loved ones and lots of great food, but he can anticipate the charity of gifts. Gift giving is an important part of any graduation celebration, because it gives family and friends an opportunity to tell the graduate that they are proud of them. Giving gifts is a way of showing that you support what the graduate is doing for their future as they arrange for their future. As the graduation season approaches, consider the significance of the words “Congratulations!” Whether said with money, expensive presents for a future career, or a custom made Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling Wine Basket, recognition for a job well done means just as much as the self satisfaction a graduate gets from their accomplishment. riesling wine gift basketsThe Riesling white wine gift basket offers a nice selection of gourmet items. Whether you know someone who is graduating from high school, college, or university; whether they are graduating with their associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree; or whether they are attending another postsecondary institution be it law school, a nursing program, or an industry apprenticeship; they have earned recognition for what they have achieved. Thinking About What A Dad Likes

Did you know that Father's Day has officially only been around since 1972. It took 4 presidents and a Maine senator to eventually make it an official holiday. Mother’s Day had been around for almost 60 years by then. Sonora Smart was the first person to propose Father’s Day to celebrate her Father who was left to raise his 6 children when his wife died giving birth to their 6th child. It was then proposed to complement Mother’s day in celebrating fatherhood and male parenting. Today Father's Day is celebrated on a wide variety of dates around the world and typically involves giving gifts, extraordinary dinners to dads, and family-oriented activities. To help in support of Father’s day young members of the YMCA went to church sporting a rose: a red rose to celebrate a living father, and a white rose to recognize a deceased one. Oddly enough enough Father's Day was in danger of disappearing from the calendar while Mother's Day was met with eagerness, Father's Day was often met with snickering. Not all fathers are alike! cookies and brownies gift basketOK, so you’re thinking what in the world can I obtain my dad for Father’s day? I don’t live at home any more and have no idea what he wants. You aren’t actually considering purchasing a gift card to Lowe’s or Home Depot are you? That’s about as personal as a another ugly tie. You may not live at home any more, but you probably have a good idea of what your father favors – is he a beer fan? A chocolate lover? How about a wine expert? I’ve found out that on the web there are plenty of gift that men would really like for a gift that are effortless to order. I know, maybe you always thought “baskets” were for women, but once you take a look at a beer tub, you will have a new view. If your dad’s preferences are for wine, you’ll notice that they can be delivered not only a fine wine of your choice, but also a superb set of complementary foods that make a very sweet package. These gift baskets for a father would be the ideal gift for dear old dad on Father's day. So let’s say your dad is a soda drinker and he is also a big nut fan. All you need to do is order Cookies and Brownies Gift Basket for a man that fits the bill. The most important part of the whole gift is your message on the card attached so be witty and wise. Some on-line gift baskets companies will even custom design that gift basket to really fit your dad’s preferences. http://www.basketsbyrita.com http://www.basketsbyrita.com/Cookies-and-Brownies-Gift-Basket_p_384.html http://www.twitter.com/basketsbyrita http://www.facebook.com/basketsbyrita

Treats and Sweets For Kids

Few things are as beautiful as a child’s anticipation on Christmas morning. I recall running down the stairs as soon as I awoke and shaking my parents awake, asking them if we could open our gifts from Santa. Despite the fact that the gifts were always different from year to year, the traditions never changed. One of the best Christmas traditions was always the sweets and baked goods I would come across in my stocking and in the kitchen, which was toasty and pleasant from all the baking. With such a big array of cookies, chocolates, and peppermint candies, I could give myself a belly ache by noon! Christmas was the only day when I was permitted to eat whatever I wanted all day long. Think of the children you love and what Christmas means to them. Whether you have tender memories of singing Christmas carols with your nieces and nephews on the way home from church on Christmas eve, or joyfully remember sneaking around and playing Santa Clause to bring that mystical twinkle to your own children’s eyes, there are many simple things you can do to create those holiday memories that a child will look back on so fondly for years to come. One thing that makes Christmas so special is the decorations and holiday trim you find everywhere. At Baskets By Rita we pride ourselves in the presentation of each of our baskets. We care just as much about how our baskets look on the outside as how they taste on the inside. Inside each of our holiday gift baskets you will find a variety of cookies, chocolates, drink mixes made for snuggling up by the fire, candies, nuts and popcorn, and snack mixes. Who could ask for a more perfect gift for a child? snack attack gift basketsWhat if this year your child, niece, nephew, grand, or godchild woke up to find not only their stocking on the fireplace, but a perfectly delicious Baskets By Rita gift basket there as well? Something Mom Can Use On Mothers Day Gifts

Mother’s Day as we know it is a pretty recent holiday, though it is not really a “Hallmark holiday” developed to sell more cards. There are a number of Mothering day or Mom-focused holidays in history like Mothering Day in the UK, Cybele in ancient Greece, or Mothering Sunday in much of Europe. Mother’s Day was invented by Anna Jarvis in 1912. Mother’s day was distinctively chosen to be a singular possessive meaning it was proposed for each family to celebrate their mother, not plural possessive that would be used to respect all the mothers of the world. Following congressional approval, It was officially identified on May 9, 1914 when president Woodrow Wilson made the official announcement proclaiming Mother’s day as a national holiday to be observed on the 2nd Sunday of May. Mother’s Day has eventually been adopted by many other countries and cultures. In many cases, the date was changed to fit established celebrations or to correspond with a significant date in which the majority are based on religion. Because of this, Mother’s Day is celebrated in February in Norway and on December 22nd in Indonesia, with many other dates in between celebrated by other people. One of the practices of Mother’s Day is to give your mother a present along with positive wishes as a way to honor her. If you live near by (and are seeing your mom regularly!) you most likely have a good idea what to buy her. Then again, those of us that don’t live in the area can be at a entire loss. Consider the things Mom likes a perhaps send her a gift with that concept. Gift baskets are great when it comes to gifts with a theme. If your mom loves golf there are golf themed gift baskets. Perhaps she is into tea and relaxation then buy a nice tea baskets or a relaxing spa basket. Maybe she loves fine wine and you know she appreciates red wine or white wine or even champagne. There are many great wine gift baskets to pick from that showcase wine which would make a ideal mothers day basket. The possibilities are many and what a gift baskets does, is give you a nice variety of goodies that she will have fun with with the theme she will appreciate. bath gift basketRather than sending kitchen gadgets yet again this year, you might possibly consider a Bath Gift Basket. Our new bath gift basket will help her shed the day's stresses and take a refreshing plunge into the luxurious world of scented pampering. She deserves it! We include soothing lotion, body scrub, soap, bath gel, a mesh sponge, peppermint foot soak, Lavender bath salts, a beautifully scented drawer sachet, two votive candles and glass holder and more. Available in 4 sizes. Pamper her with this beautiful gift basket for a woman. Another thing to think about here is the useful factor. What I mean by this is lots of of the gifts that you give your mom are either unessential or something she will never us. So, consider something green, useful and best of all reusable. The green and reusable is the present holder which could be a reusable basket or perhaps a 100% recycled reusable shopping bag. The useful is the great gourmet foods or the high quality lotions and soaps in the basket. Why not send her something completely different and remarkable this Mother’s day! Even if you live far away or down the street these gifts can be delivered. Happy Mother’s Day! A bath gifts baskets for a woman filled with high quality bath gel, body scrub, lotion and more. Perfect gift for a woman. Pamper her gifts for a her birthday. There's Nothing Like A Good Old Fashioned Thanks

It's as though the art of giving thanks has been lost over time. Posting a personalized thank you note was at one time habitual for both professional and personal occasions, but now most people presume it's enough to offhandedly send an email with a quick "thanks" before returning to their active day to day lives. Now don't get me wrong. I know that the world is more fast paced than it was at one time and many people scarcely have time to rest and catch a break, but thinking about it, that only gives you all the more reason to send a heart felt thank you. Considering we've become less accustomed to receiving a formal thank you, it makes a much greater impression when we do receive one. It honestly is a nice surprise to see someone took the time to say "thanks." I haven’t even mentioned the influence it can have on your business. By taking a moment to send a personalized thank you, you can express to your customer how significant their business is to you. By building personal relationships with your clients, you are ensuring their confidence and giving them a reason to conduct business with you instead of your competitors. If I haven't managed to convinced you that sending a thank you gift or note is worth the effort, why not contemplate sending something that takes very little time at all? Sending flowers or a gift basket from an online website takes about as long as sending an email, but sends a much better impression. corporate snack basketGifts like the Corporate Snack Basket Our corporate snack basket has a little something for everyone and will be the perfect gift for your office staff to share. This basket is filled with an assortment of candy bars, chips and cookies. We offer Skittles, Hershey's bars, Kit-Kat, Reese's, M & M 's, Snickers bars, Oreo cookies, potato chips and Snyder's pretzels, just to name a few. We can do this up in your corporate colors or personalize it anyway you want. Just mention any special requests at check-out in the additional information space. Ditch all objections and exercise some conventional courtesy the next time you have the chance to say thank you. Do You Celebrate Easter or Just Eat the Eggs?

The resurrection of Christ is what Easter is all about also making it the most essential of all Christian holy days. However, these days the meaning of the holiday is covered by dyed eggs and bunnies. Easter can fall any day between March 22 and April 25 since is occurs the first Sunday following the full moon. Easter is also associated to the Jewish Passover in symbolism and it’s location in the calendar. What’s with Rabbits and eggs and The Easter holiday? Well the bunny is a well know sexual symbol of fertility. Religions affiliated with Babel connect the rabbit with periodicity, both human and lunar. The Mother Goddess Semiramis (Easter) is associated with the moon. Therefore, the Easter bunny represents the Mother Goddess and is related with once a year Spring time fertility rituals worshiping the Mother Goddess. Painted Easter eggs are a part of the festivities too that came from the egg which was a religious symbol among the Babylonians. breakfast gourmet basketsThey assumed that a fantastic size egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates River from which the Goddess Semiramis was born. It makes you wonder how many of us honestly think about the correct meaning of this holiday other than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It has expanded to be another retail holiday and over commercialized. However, it is a time for families to unite and observe the day. Kids love Easter for the Easter Baskets, candy and most of all the egg hunting which could be enjoyed by the adults as well. Family member that are separated by geography many times send Breakfast Gourmet Gift Basket to their loved ones. Grandma and Grandpa send Filled Easter baskets for children to grandchildren. Daughter and sons might Family Easter Basket to mom and dad and siblings far away. A breakfast gift basket with gourmet goodies to wake up to. Send someone a good morning wake up basket today and they'll feel loved and comforted. Perfect for Easter, Mother's Day, Thank You or Condolence gifts. A box of tea, honey sticks, gourmet cookies, cheese, crackers, jam, scone mix, premium coffee, biscotti, fruit and nut trail mix, a votive candle, cocoa, and chocolates. http://www.basketsbyrita.com/Easter-Gifts_c_40.html

Febuary is The Time Of Year For Love

Each Year Love is in the air and in the Chocolate around the middle of February. Every Valentine’s Day it looks like people give the same thing. A box of chocolates, a cheesy teddy bear, spa products, sexy lingerie, jewelry, it’s all so predictable! While nearly all people wouldn’t complain about receiving a gift from someone they love, there have got to more personal ways of revealing your love and affection. If you feel like your gifts are becoming redundant from year to year and you want to step it up a notch, why not make something yourself that says that you took the time to create something that comes from your heart. Not only will this mean more, but it will be unique and genuinely express your feelings in a way that no greeting card can. Here are some ideas that will show you really care. You could Write out a list of all the things you love about them. This can be as long or short as you like. You can format it as a list, a poem, or even sing it to them if you have any musical talent. Leave it next to a vase of flowers or on the bed in a pile of roses, you decide how you want to present it. Everyone likes to be reminded of why they are loved and this is the perfect way to tell them. These are great ways to show that special someone how much you really care on that one day of the year declared I love you day. There are lots creative ideas for creating romance without spending lots of money such as Make your own chocolate covered strawberries. Dip strawberries in dark, milk, or white chocolate and cover them in sprinkles, chocolate chips, cinnamon, or cookie crumbs. You can also leave them plain for a more classic take. Lay them out on a nice tray in the bedroom, living room, or kitchen and enjoy them together I love Valentines day with all this positive energy of love and romance and caring. wine gift baskets If all else fails you could Create a scavenger hunt. Come up with clever clues which you can write out on decorative clue cards leading your loved one around town or just around the house from one clue to the next. At the end, present them with a gift or set the mood with a romantic hideaway which they’ve worked for by answering all of the clues correctly. A friend recently told me that he sent a gift basket to his wife last year for Valentine’s day and she loved it because it contained things that you don’t find in most stores. Great gourmet chocolates, flavored nuts, wine, olives and more great chocolate. It made him look really good and this very romantic holiday. I could have sent him a Valentine Wine Gift Basket. Send a Valentine's day wine gift basket with a bottle of white wine, two wine glasses and a compliment of assorted munchies. Chardonnay Havarti Cheese spread, Beef Summer Sausage, Gourmet Crackers, Smoked Gouda Cheese, Trail Mix, Caramel corn, Cookies, Chocolove dark chocolate bar with a love poem on the label, snack mix, and milk chocolate truffles. If these ideas have sparked your interest or given you a good starting point for planning out your Valentine’s Day, please pass this along via Facebook or Twitter. Care packages for Bar Exam Weed

If you know a tax preparation specialist, CPA, law student or a university student, you may be aware of the stresses they experience this time of year. Preparing for and cranking through reams of paperwork or studying for midterms, finals, or that big test can truly take it out of an individual.
