Do You Celebrate Easter or Just Eat the Eggs?

The resurrection of Christ is what Easter is all about also making it the most essential of all Christian holy days. However, these days the meaning of the holiday is covered by dyed eggs and bunnies. Easter can fall any day between March 22 and April 25 since is occurs the first Sunday following the full moon. Easter is also associated to the Jewish Passover in symbolism and it’s location in the calendar. What’s with Rabbits and eggs and The Easter holiday? Well the bunny is a well know sexual symbol of fertility. Religions affiliated with Babel connect the rabbit with periodicity, both human and lunar. The Mother Goddess Semiramis (Easter) is associated with the moon. Therefore, the Easter bunny represents the Mother Goddess and is related with once a year Spring time fertility rituals worshiping the Mother Goddess. Painted Easter eggs are a part of the festivities too that came from the egg which was a religious symbol among the Babylonians. breakfast gourmet basketsThey assumed that a fantastic size egg fell from heaven into the Euphrates River from which the Goddess Semiramis was born. It makes you wonder how many of us honestly think about the correct meaning of this holiday other than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It has expanded to be another retail holiday and over commercialized. However, it is a time for families to unite and observe the day. Kids love Easter for the Easter Baskets, candy and most of all the egg hunting which could be enjoyed by the adults as well. Febuary is The Time Of Year For Love

Each Year Love is in the air and in the Chocolate around the middle of February. Every Valentine’s Day it looks like people give the same thing. A box of chocolates, a cheesy teddy bear, spa products, sexy lingerie, jewelry, it’s all so predictable! While nearly all people wouldn’t complain about receiving a gift from someone they love, there have got to more personal ways of revealing your love and affection. If you feel like your gifts are becoming redundant from year to year and you want to step it up a notch, why not make something yourself that says that you took the time to create something that comes from your heart. Not only will this mean more, but it will be unique and genuinely express your feelings in a way that no greeting card can. Here are some ideas that will show you really care. You could Write out a list of all the things you love about them. This can be as long or short as you like. You can format it as a list, a poem, or even sing it to them if you have any musical talent. Leave it next to a vase of flowers or on the bed in a pile of roses, you decide how you want to present it. Everyone likes to be reminded of why they are loved and this is the perfect way to tell them. These are great ways to show that special someone how much you really care on that one day of the year declared I love you day. There are lots creative ideas for creating romance without spending lots of money such as Make your own chocolate covered strawberries. Dip strawberries in dark, milk, or white chocolate and cover them in sprinkles, chocolate chips, cinnamon, or cookie crumbs. You can also leave them plain for a more classic take. Lay them out on a nice tray in the bedroom, living room, or kitchen and enjoy them together I love Valentines day with all this positive energy of love and romance and caring. wine gift baskets If all else fails you could Create a scavenger hunt. Come up with clever clues which you can write out on decorative clue cards leading your loved one around town or just around the house from one clue to the next. At the end, present them with a gift or set the mood with a romantic hideaway which they’ve worked for by answering all of the clues correctly. A friend recently told me that he sent a gift basket to his wife last year for Valentine’s day and she loved it because it contained things that you don’t find in most stores. Great gourmet chocolates, flavored nuts, wine, olives and more great chocolate. It made him look really good and this very romantic holiday. I could have sent him a Valentine Wine Gift Basket. Send a Valentine's day wine gift basket with a bottle of white wine, two wine glasses and a compliment of assorted munchies. Chardonnay Havarti Cheese spread, Beef Summer Sausage, Gourmet Crackers, Smoked Gouda Cheese, Trail Mix, Caramel corn, Cookies, Chocolove dark chocolate bar with a love poem on the label, snack mix, and milk chocolate truffles. If these ideas have sparked your interest or given you a good starting point for planning out your Valentine’s Day, please pass this along via Facebook or Twitter. Care packages for Bar Exam Weed

If you know a tax preparation specialist, CPA, law student or a university student, you may be aware of the stresses they experience this time of year. Preparing for and cranking through reams of paperwork or studying for midterms, finals, or that big test can truly take it out of an individual. You many times can’t be there to help them, but want to show them that you are thinking of them. There is no need for you to stress out trying to get something to alleviate their stress, so we have a few ideas. These are quick to choose and easy to order if you feel it’s correct for your situation. These items are organized in two categories – first items to help someone get through the peak period. These are typically caffeine and chocolate rich items that will help keep them going. Second are items to help them wind down. One thing busy people can always use is a few munchies to hold them over until their next meal or to help them with their “all nighter”. Baskets by Rita has a couple of timely ideas for gifts that can help that student, lawyer or CPA during those stressful weeks. For the caffeine addicted night owl, there’s the Chocolate and Coffee basket that joins assorted chocolates with Starbucks frappuchino and coffees. Here are two tastes that are sure to please and keep things cranking into the late hours. If they don't like coffees but could still use a bit of caffeine, a stress relief basket might be the perfect gift. This basket includes a can of Red Bull with a fine variety of munchies. They also get a stress ball to squeeze when a client (or professor) is being exceptionally difficult. The survival gift basket is another high-quality choice. It contains caffeine both in the Monster drink as well as the frappuccino. It also contains a quality mix of quick munchies to sustain them. OK, so much for the caffeine injected choices. You might really help them relax after a endless day. If caffeine is the last thing they require, you might choose something to help them relax after a stressful day. Our first choice is focused on the hard-working woman. A perfect choice for relaxation is the Luxury Spa Gift Basket. This comes in a galvanized metal tub filled with lotions, scrubs, soaps and even a relaxing CD. This is undoubtedly the most romantic choice on this list. A gift that will relieve the overstressed frantic people in your life is a gift indeed.
